XELLEX, as a group enterprise in the battery industry that specializes in the design, research and development as well as manufacture and sale of batteries, incorporates: Xellex Battery (HK) Limited, Shenzhen Xellex Battery Co., Ltd.; Shanghai Xellex-East Star Battery Co., Ltd.; Nanhai Xellex-Shida Battery Co., Ltd.; Dongguan Xellex-Liwang Battery Co., Ltd., which develop and manufacture Alkaline and Zinc Carbon Cylindrical Batteries, Alkaline Manganese and Lithium Manganese Button Cells and Ni-Cd and Ni-MH Rechargeable Batteries, occupying a total area of nearly 40,000 square meters for battery production by over 2,000 employees including 40 R&D professionals, 60 engineers and 140 QC workers altogether. The brand Xellex was awarded the Chinese Famous Brand in March 2003.

XELLEX batteries are categorized into the following three families: Ni-Cd and Ni-MH Rechargeable Batteries; Alkaline and Super/Extra Heavy-Duty Zinc Carbon Cylindrical Batteries, e.g. Types D, C, AA and AAA; Alkaline Manganese Button Cells, e.g. Series AG and Lithium Manganese Button Cells, e.g. Series CR. Amongst the above, Ni-MH Rechargeable Batteries are gained the US OVONIC license and Ni-Cd Rechargeable Batteries gained RBRC license.

XELLEX rechargeable battery manufacturers are gained ISO9000 and ISO14000 certifications; the series of rechargeable batteries are awarded UL and CE certifications respectively. Alkaline battery manufacturers are gained ISO9000 accreditation; Alkaline and Super/Extra Heavy-Duty Zinc Carbon Cylindrical Batteries both awarded SGS certifications; Alkaline Manganese Button Cells and Lithium Manganese Button Cells both gained CMA accreditation.
