 CITIC International Co., Ltd. (CITIC International) is a subsidiary directly owned by the CITIC Group specializing in trade. It was founded on August 6th, 2002, with a registered capital of RMB 50 million.
CITIC International's core businesses are imports and exports of goods and technologies and domestic trade. It also endeavors to expand relevant logistics and distribution services. Consisting of 5 business departments and 4 functional departments, CITIC International now covers the major markets such as Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, South-East Asia, America and Oceania, Europe and Africa. Its major exports include coke, wheels, fluorite, fine chemicals, magnesium sand etc., while major imports are iron sand, textile raw materials, mechanical and electric equipment, steel scrap, steel, electrolytic copper, crude copper, animal feeds etc.. For domestic trade, CITIC International deals mainly with stainless steel and textile raw materials.
In line with the state laws, guidelines and policies, CITIC International has developed innovatively and steadily, pursuing modern management philosophies and scientific management styles. It received the ISO9001 certificate in April 2006, and was rated as an AAA Enterprise by China Chamber of Commerce of Metals Minerals and Chemicals Importers and Exporters in 2007. By the end of 2006, the total assets of the company stood at RMB 1.208 billion, and the sales volume of that year reached RMB 2.5 billion.
