 Aerial Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing Bureau (ARSC)(Aerial Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing Reconnaissance Institute), reliant on China National Administration of Coal Geology, was founded in 1965. It is the only bureau that is involved in research, development
and application of spatial globe informationtechnology in national coal trade. The service scope is aerophotography, surveying and mapping, spatial remote sensing, mapping and printing, GIS development, underground pipeline detection, computer information development, high quality electronic coupons and cards manufacture, high quality printing materials etc. It is the 3S Spatial Information Industry Base in western China approved by Ministry of Science and Technology. ARSC is equipped with over 600 sets of the state-of-the-art equipments and instruments for the research and production of geographic information with various professional and technical personnel who take up over 60% of the total staff. The core technology 3SGPS,GIS, RS and main 4D products DLG, DEM, DOM, DRG are national leading( among them, full digital photogrammetry and digital aerophotography technology have reached world leading level). ARSC has post-doctor program; Hotels and restaurants, commerce, tourism, real estate, import and export business have developed on a certain scale. ARSC has over ten qualification and certificates like Grade A Surveying and Mapping License, Grade A Designing Certificate of Engineering Exploration, Grade A Engineering Consultant Qualification Certificate. ARSC has been grantedMeritorious Organization of National Coal Industry and Geology Detection etc and in 2003, grantedThe 100 Outstanding Enterprise of China coal industry. 7 companies reliant on ARSC have passed ISO9000 and 6 companies have been granted National High-Tech Enterprise.
